Road riders this weekend

We have exciting news!

On Sunday the Outriders, from Table View in the Northern suburbs, will be joining the club for the Sunday ride. This is part of a new initiative by WP Cycling to arrange regular inter-club events. There will be more events like this in 2018 and we hope club members will support the initiative.

All club members are welcome to join us on this ride, which will have 2 follow vehicles available.

Information about road rides can now be found on this website under the Calendar->Road Rides menu. More information about this event can also be found via the Sunday calendar entry.

Holiday permits available online

We have holiday permits available for guests who would like to cycle on the trails during the holiday season, expiring end January 2018. The cost for an adult Holiday permit is R300, juniors pay R110. This is an ideal opportunity for family and friends requiring frequent access to the Wannabees trails while on holiday in the area.

Members with a valid club membership does not require a permit. Remember to renew your membership prior to January 2018 to ensure continued use of the trails.

Coffee Ride and Helderberg Trails Intro

Hey Guys
Come and join us on Saturday 22 July for coffee and croissants at The Hanger Bike Co.
Road ride will start at Lord Charles at 7h30, ending at The Hanger Bike Co around 10h30.
The MTB guys have 2 options. You can do your own ride on the Wannabees trails, also aiming to finish at The Hanger Bike Co around 10h30, OR you can meet in the car park at The Hanger Bike Co at 8h00 for an 8h15 start for a free introductory ride at Helderberg Farm. This offer is open for Wannabees members only. For those of you who haven’t experienced the joys of riding the Helderberg Trails, Andrew Neethling is offering to host any Wannabees members for an introductory tour of some of the most awesome downhill trails in the area. Groups will be divided up and a guide will be allocated to each group for a fun filled morning. These groups will also arrive back around 10h30. MTB riders not wanting to join the tour are still invited to join everyone at The Hanger Bike Co for coffee and croissants around 10h30.

The Hanger Bike Co is situated at the intersection of the R44 and Klein Helderberg Road.

RSVP is essential for this event. Please send your response before 12h00 noon on Thursday for inclusion to this event.
