Western Cape Cycling is hosting the annual provincial road championships on 5 January 2019 in De Rust in the Outshoorn region. Competitive club members are encouraged to participate in this annual event, which will lead up to the SA Road Championships.
The Wannabees Road Committee would like members to celebrate Women’s Day on 9 August by doing something for charity. The committee has arranged for an easy road ride through to Rooiels, starting at Lord Charles at 9h30. On the way back cyclists are invited to pop in at Barley’s at the Sanctuary where there will be pizza and a beer (or similar) for each rider from 11h30 onwards. AND as it’s Womens Day, we would like everyone to invite their partners along so the women in your lives as celebrated as well.
This event is open to ALL club members irrespective of whether they join the charity ride or not. Please RSVP as soon as possible.
The Wannabees Road Committee would like to invite all interested club members to an information evening at Sage And Thyme on 30 May 2018.
The aim of the evening is introduce the current Road Committee members and to share our vision and thoughts on various matters relating to the portfolios, such as weekend training rides and member interactions. All committee members will be available afterwards for discussions around training programs for upcoming races, the club hosting the Raithby Race in September and the introduction of a timed hill climb competition on the Steenbras ascent among other things.
